"How do I lose my 'love-handles'?"


This is a wonderful question, and the answer applies to any trouble-area(s) you may have.


The answer is quite simple, actually. Your body doesn't choose where to lose fat--it's a matter of leanness. To lose your love-handles, annoying 'back-of-your-leg-under-the-butt-fat', 'muffin-top', or any other trouble spot, you need to reduce the amount of energy you consume on a daily basis. This, along with exercise, will reduce your overall body fat.


In order to lose fat, your expenditures must exceed your consumption. If you're consuming more calories than your body uses, it will be stored as fat. In contrast, if you burn more calories than you consume, you will burn fat.


You may be wondering, "but, where do I start?" The FDA recommends 2,000 calories/day for the average adult. However, this calculation may vary based on your body type and activity level. Begin by drinking 8oz of water prior to each main meal (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), while consuming adequate water throughout the day. Additionally, consuming a diet high in protein, will help you feel fuller, longer.
